According to Daily Mail, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal thinks that neither Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi should win the Ballon d’Or.
The Dutch manager believes one of Germans players who won the World Cup 2014 should get the award.

Van Gaal thinks that a member of Germany national team squad should win the Ballon d’Or award because they were the winners of the best competition in the word.

“It is more for the football world and outside world than for other things I believe. I think it will be Ronaldo or Messi but I want to say that you have to win something,” he said to Manchester United official website.

“And the best thing to win is the World Cup so I hope it will be a German player because they deserve it. In Germany, the level of the Bundesliga matches is also very high so I think it should be a German player.
