I’d rather lose than win for Mourinho - Chelsea player admits

The turmoil at Chelsea has taken a different twist, after a first-team player said he would rather lose than win for coach Jose Mourinho.

According to BBC Radio 5 Live’s Garry Richardson who made the claim, Mourinho’s relationship with many of the players has collapsed beyond repair.“Let me tell you what I know on the Chelsea story. My information comes from a Chelsea first team player,” he said on Sunday morning’s Sportsweek.

“The information was actually passed to me by a football contact.

“I was told that Jose Mourinho’s relationship with many of his players is at rock bottom.

“I was told they’re fed up with the way he’s been dealing with some of them. They’re fed up with his outbursts. I was told that his relationship particularly with Eden Hazard was under immense strain”, he disclosed.

The Blues are stuck in 15th place in the Premier League, after they were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool on Saturday.

The reverse against Liverpool piled yet more pressure on the Special One with suggestions his time could be up at Stamford Bridge as early as this week.

And the man himself did nothing to dampen such talk in his post-match interview.

"Of course, the fight goes on. But sometimes there are fights that are very impossible to win - you go to a fight with different ammunition," he told the BBC.

"There are sometimes fights you cannot win."

The result leaves Chelsea languishing in 15th place with just 11 points from 11 games.

When pressed for his thoughts in his earlier interview with BT Mourino refused to be drawn batting away questions no fewer than ELEVEN times.
