The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions in the central states of the country on Friday.

The agency also predicted that there were chances of localised rains in Abuja and Kaduna in the morning.

This is contained in a Weather Outlook issued on Thursday in Abuja by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO).

In the forecast, NiMet said that Jos, Kaduna, Abuja and Minna were likely to record thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening.

It predicted cloudy conditions in the Northern states “with chances of localised thunderstorms over places like Gusau and Katsina”.

"Cloudy conditions are expected in the Southern coastal areas with chances of isolated rains in the morning and localised thunderstorms in the afternoon.

"Cloudy conditions are expected in the inland cities with chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon," the agency stated.
