Breaking News: Golden Eaglets are champions of 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup

The Golden Eaglets have won the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup hosted by United Arab Emirate (UAE) engraving their names in the sands of history as four times FIFA U17 World Championship following
previous wins in 1985, 1993 and 2007.

The Eaglets defeated their Mexico finalist by 3:0 to make it their 7th final since the competition started in 1985 and their 4th win making it the most successful nation in the tournament's history, with three runner ups.

The Golden Eaglets 26 goals also broke the record held by Germany team for most goals scored by a team in a single tournament with 24 goals in the 2011 tournament hosted by Mexico.

The Silver boot and the Most Valuable Player award went to Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho with jersey number 10. The Eaglets also won the Fair play team award of the tournament.

The Golden golf award went to the Golden Eaglet goal keeper, Dele Alampasu for keeping the most clean sheet of the tournament.
