The police on Monday arraigned a trader, John Fadeyi, for allegedly raising false alarm over the disappearance of his manhood in the public.
The accused, 32, who resides at Oja Street in Orile, is facing a two-count charge of assault and raising false alarm in a Magistrates’ Court in Tinubu, Lagos.

The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Daniel Ighodalo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Oct. 23, at about 1.30 p.m. at Agarawu Street on the Lagos Island.

He said that the accused claimed that the complainant, Princess Ajayi Olabode, had bodily contact with him, adding that he immediately felt something leaving his body.

“Fadeyi alleged that when the lady hit him, he felt a shock and that when he touched his private part; he discovered that it had disappeared.

“He raised an alarm and people immediately gathered to plead with the complainant to return his private part,’’ he added.

Ighodalo said that the complainant claimed that she was beaten up because of the false alarm which Fadeyi raised.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Sections 166 and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. M. Ajayi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N40,000 bail with one surety in like sum.

She later adjourned the case to Nov. 4.
