Women stare at other women's cleavages for as long as men - Studies

This may not come as a huge shock, but guys spend a good amount of time checking out your chest. But, uh, so do women. When shown a picture of a woman, both men and women spend more time looking at her breasts and waist than her face, according to a new study in the journal Sex Roles.
To find out how much ogling really goes on, researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln recruited 65 college students (29 women and 36 men), and asked them to look at 30 pictures of 10 different women while hooked up to an eye-tracking device (the photos were manipulated to display different body types). Not only did both men and women spend more time checking out bodies than faces, but they also spent more time focusing on larger busts, smaller waists, and bigger hips.
But wait a second, this totally contradicts a recent British study that found that 70 percent of men reported noticing a woman's eyes before any other trait. So what's the deal? This study actually tracked people's eye movements, while the previous one relied on self-reports. The fact is, men probably didn't want to admit that their eyes go straight to your boobs. Another possible reason (that's a bit less cynical)—it's totally rude to look at women straight in the boobs in real life, but when you're just looking at photos, all bets (and concerns about offending people) are off.
In any case, it looks like men aren't the only ones who scope out women's bodies. Let's just make sure we're all logging enough face time to offset the ogling.
