Millions of Nigerians were excited when business tycoon and billionaire Aliko Dangote joined the micro-blogging social network Twitter on December 31, 2013. Twitter went abuzz as Dangote, President of Dangote Group signed up and followed seven people including Bill Gates, Gordon and Sarah Brown and Jack Welch.

Already a verified account, Dangote’s Twitter has amassed over 16,000 follower and that’s just in less than 12 hours.
