Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has warned that any member of the National and State Assembly from Rivers State elected on the platform of the party who
defect to APC with Governor Amaechi could risk loosing his or her seat.

The party Secretary, Ibiba Walter, who issued the warning while speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt said the PDP is watching its members who hold political offices and would evoke the necessary sections in the Party’s Constitution against them if they defect from the PDP to the APC.

“We do not have clear evidences yet that they have defected, we are keenly watching, i think they know the implications of the defecting from the party that put you into office, which platform you contested senate or the State Assembly, the party is keenly watching, when once it is clear that they have defected, we will encourage the long arm of the law to catch up with them as defection means loss of seat and they seize to be senators forth with” he said.Ibiba Walter also said with the defection of Governor Amaechi to APC he has lost his political relevance which he received on the platform of the PDP.”

His defection is going to deflect him, his defection has guaranteed his failure i think he has committed political suicide he has committed political blunder” he said.
