Nigeria’s D’Tigers on Tuesday made it four wins in four matches, defeating Central African Republic to make the quarter-finals of the 2013 Afrobasket Championship.
D’Tigers completely dominated the game as Nigeria ran over CAR with a 112-75 points victory. Nigeria led from start to finish and even had the luxury of affording the only home-based player, Stanley Gumut, some game time who ended up getting his first points in the championship.

Stan Okoye was the star of the game, hitting a game-high 29 points while Max Kouguere led for CAR with 22 points. It was another vintage performance by D’Tigers, but they will have to raise their game, in the quarter-finals where they will come up against five-time champions Senegal.

All the quarter-final games will be played on Wednesday, with Angola opening the proceedings against Morocco, followed by Egypt who will take on Cape Verde. Cote d’Ivoire will then square off against Cameroon before Senegal face Nigeria to complete the matches for the day.
