Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia may make a return to the managerial post of the Nigeria national U-20 side after an initial spell with the team if the information coming from the football house is anything to go by.
Siasia coached the Flying Eagles between 2005 and 2007, taking them to the finals of both the 2005 Under-20 World Cup and the U-20 African Youth Championship.
He won the African Youth Championship and advanced all the way to the world final, before losing to Argentina 2–1.
John Obuh led the team to the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup won by France in Turkey, where they managed to reach the round of 16, and as a result resigned from his post.
“Siasia may soon be handed the Flying Eagles job following Obuh’s resignation, a source at the Nigeria Football Federation informed futaa.com.
“He (Siasia) has coached the team before, and the NFF are considering giving him the job based on his experience.
Siasia was appointed national U-23 coach on January 2007. In 2008, he coached the Nigerian Olympic squad to the final against Argentina.
